Sensual Sensations: Experience displays with all the senses
Thursday 01. May 2008 - The Panther Group is taking part in the knowledge centre entitled "Point of Sale" in the InnovationParc Packaging and in this context is presenting, among other things, new types of display developments.
Under the heading “Sensual Sensations”, the company is summarizing innovative versions of secondary-placement systems which are designed to address all the senses. A multi-part theme concept introduces possibilities of mentally registering brands and products in display presentations not only visually, but also in terms of taste or smell.
Secondary placements surround brand presentations with a sensual implementation of their message; the integration of dispenser systems or the use of animations and films generated by video technology creates direct powers of persuasion at the P.O.S. The displays, which appear in the typical orange colour of the “Juiceful Things” idea workshop, dispense fragrances or even a tasting experience.
Panther Packaging will demonstrate examples of the use of interactive elements which encourage the consumer to get more closely acquainted with a product at the P.O.S. Displays which feature goods can be fitted with integrated dispenser systems which enable consumers to experience tasting directly in the supermarket – or simply satisfy their curiosity. The dispenser systems can be customized to dose specific products in liquid, paste or other forms. The results are individual presentation islands which set the scene for new food and luxury goods and perform decisive persuasion work at the P.O.S. And not least, they permit consumers from all age groups and spheres of interest to give free reign to their instinct for play. The P.O.S. as an experience: the multiplicity of possible features for the secondary placement systems arouses curiosity and satisfies the consumers desire for novelty.
The integration of product-relevant fragrances into a display is a further variation for adding more adventure to the P.O.S. environment and for providing products with a more individual impact. An additional enhancement of display performance can be achieved by featuring moving pictures: the integration of TV or computer technology into secondary-placement elements is a trend for the future which will be explained by Panther in the InnovationParc Packaging in a practically oriented manner.
