HP Names Enrique Lores Worldwide Sales Lead for Personal Systems Group and Head of Partner Unit

Thursday 17. April 2008 - HP today appointed Enrique Lores to the position of senior vice president of worldwide sales for its Personal Systems Group (PSG) and head of its Solutions Partner Organization, serving all HP businesses worldwide.

Lores, 42, will report to PSG Executive Vice President Todd Bradley and be responsible for the strategy and growth of the business group’s direct and channel commercial volume sales.

HP is the world’s largest PC provider and, within its Personal Systems Group, has the industry’s broadest portfolio of business desktops, notebooks, workstations and client virtualization offerings, as well as a broad range of services and support that span the entire IT lifecycle from deployment to environmentally responsible disposal.

As head of the Solutions Partner Organization, Lores will be charged with building on HP’s more than 25 years of developing profitable and growing channel relationships. HP currently has approximately 145,000 commercial channel partners across the more than 170 countries in which the technology leader operates.

In this capacity, Lores will indirectly report to Ann Livermore, executive vice president of the Technology Solutions Group (TSG), and Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president of the Imaging and Printing Group (IPG), at HP.

“Enrique’s sales and marketing expertise spans all commercial customer segments and channels,” said Bradley. “He is known as a change agent with broad business and global experience, and I’m confident he’ll work across all regions to continue to create best practices that drive revenue growth and profitability for both HP and its partners.”

A 20-year HP veteran, Lores has served since 2003 as general manager and vice president of the fast-growing Inkjet Commercial Division, responsible for IPG’s large-format printing business. Previously, he held management positions in IPG’s printing hardware, supplies and services businesses at regional and worldwide levels, and he served as general manager and vice president of the IPG Commercial Category in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He first joined the company in 1988 as a research and development engineer.

Lores will move from Barcelona, Spain, to Silicon Valley to replace Jim McDonnell, who previously accepted a position within TSG leading global sales programs for the Enterprise Storage and Servers business unit.

Lores holds an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and an MBA from ESADE Business School in Barcelona.
