ROTOMAN, REGIOMAN, UNISET, and GEOMAN Successful in Baltic States

More than 150 heatset-coldset combinations have been sold by MAN Roland to date. Such a system produces in Lithuania, too.

Wednesday 09. April 2008 - The most important webfed printing companies of Estonia and Lithuania work with presses from MAN Roland

It is only four years ago that the Baltic States became members of the European Union, and their economies are flourishing. With an economic growth of eleven percent, the three small states in the north-east of Europe are far ahead of their neighbors. The printing industry benefits from the boom.
Again a ROTOMAN for Estonia
Founded in 1971, the Printall company in Tallinn is among the largest and steadily growing printing enterprises in the Baltic region. Printall publishes most of the magazines and newspapers in Estonia, plus catalogs, annual reports and books. The company has decided in favor of a ROTOMAN system from MAN Roland. The prime criteria were high quality, above-average productivity and versatility. The ROTOMAN will boost the company’s medium-length to long run efficiency several times over in the high-competition 16-page segment.
Success with newspapers in Lithuania
Interesting projects have been reported by sales partner UAB Folis. Lithuania’s largest daily, Lietuvos Rytas in Vilnius, produces since march 2008 with a new system from MAN Roland: one designed to produce completely four-color newspapers. The special characteristic of this particular system is the combination of REGIOMAN and GEOMAN printing towers. This enables flexible use of the advantages provided by the two press concepts, meaning higher efficiency with short and long runs alike. An upgrade by another REGIOMAN eight-couple tower is planned.
Another rising printing enterprise in Lithuania is Klaipedos laikrascio redakcija. Only recently it invested in a UNISET, since installed in a newly built plant in Klaipeda and produces for about one year. The heatset-coldset press prints newspaper products, covers and double-page spreads, advertising inserts and magazine-type products. An upgrade is planned: a reel splicer, an eight-couple tower and a complete folding unit have been ordered in April 2008.
