GRUPO CLARIN S.A. Announces the Exercise of an Option to Acquire a 50% Interest in Compania Inversora en Medios de Comunicacion S.A.

Monday 07. April 2008 - On April 3rd 2008, Grupo Clarin S.A. ("The Company") notified the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange and the Argentine Securities Commission that The Company and its subsidiaries, Arte Grafico Editorial Argentino S.A. ("AGEA") and Artes Graficas Rioplatense S.A. ("AGR") exercised an option to purchase 50% of the capital stock of Compania Inversora en Medios de Comunicacion S.A. ("CIMECO") from S.A. La Nacion.

The Company already held, directly and indirectly, a 50% interest in CIMECO.

The total price paid by Grupo Clarin and its subsidiaries for the acquired stock was of approximately US$61,576,000.
