Krones AG, Neutraubling, Germany, demonstrates a sense of responsibility for the world in which we live, and is manifesting this in a programme for sustainability. The world’s market leader is fully aware of its role as a technology trend-setter in the beverage industry’s filling and packaging operations. Krones has, of course, already been purposefully and voluntarily practising social responsibility above and beyond its actual business operations, thus making a contribution towards sustainable commercial success. With the newly created “enviro” brand, the economic, ecological and social efforts now become visibly tangible. With enviro, Krones has taken sustainability fully on board.

This produces direct benefits for the customer. Firstly by unequivocal focusing of product development work on eco-compatibility and efficient resource utilisation. Because nowadays, there’s more truth than ever in the formula: what’s eco-compatible and sustainable also contributes directly towards commercial success. Such as savings in a process’s consumption of energy and water. Krones will be evidencing this with introduction of the enviro Energy Passport, for example.

Secondly, the food and beverage industries, in particular, have made sustainability an integral constituent of their brands. In the full knowledge that more and more consumers are nowadays opting for or against a brand not least on the basis of ecological and social criteria. Krones is supporting this fact by making it possible for the proprietors of Krones machines and lines to highlight their eco-credentials with the enviro signet.
