Xanté Offers New Magnetic Digital Media for High-Quality, Full Color Specialty Magnetic Items on the Ilumina 502

Monday 03. March 2008 - Myriad Magnetic digital media provides more profit opportunities for Ilumina customers printing outdoor advertising, refrigerator magnets and more

Xanté Corporation today announced Myriad Magnetic digital media, a new flexible, rubberized magnetic digital media specifically designed for full color printing on the new Ilumina 502 digital color press.  Small to mid-sized print shops can now make money by offering a new magnetic media option for printing magnetic-based projects, in addition to the oversized media and ultra heavy stock capabilities already available on the Ilumina.
“This new media for the Ilumina 502 opens the door to a wealth of specialty printing options and ensuing new business opportunities for our customers,” Xanté CEO, Robert Ross. “From refrigerator magnets to outdoor advertising, the Ilumina’s ability to image high-quality, four-color output on Myriad Magnetic stock will please those customers requesting a variety of indoor/outdoor magnetic products. In short, our customers can easily add yet another profitable in-house capability to their printing repertoire.”
Because Myriad Magnetic digital media is not a paper-based material, it is perfectly suited for outdoor applications such as magnetic signs on autos, decals, car door advertising and promotional signs. The 0.05 mm thick material can also be used for promotional ideas on refrigerator magnets, magnetic photos, business cards and more. Myriad Magnetic media is available in letter, A4 and 13″ x 19″ sizes, and will be available in custom sizes as well. The media is compatible with all Ilumina digital color presses.
The Ilumina 502, which images on Myriad Magnetic media, is being featured at this week’s Graphics of the Americas (GOA) show, taking place February 28 through March 1 in Miami Beach, Florida; and also at drupa, taking place in Düsseldorf, Germany, May 29 to June 11.
Myriad Magnet media will be made available in April 2008.
