New Shanghai Office Adopts Sustainable Concept, Products

Monday 28. January 2008 - SentryGlas Expressions is featured on every floor of the building. DuPont China employees in Shanghai recently moved into a new office building in Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park. During its design, construction and interior decoration, the new building incorporated environmentally smart practices and DuPont products.

Some examples:
Renewable and locally-sourced bamboo veneers are a featured element of all office doors as well as flooring for the ground level coffee bar;
All utility and pantry areas have built-in recycle stations;
DuPont Butacite interlayer, DuPont SentryGlas Expressions and DuPont SentryGlas Plus are used for the exterior and interior glass;
DuPont Corian and DuPont Montelli solid surfaces are used in the walls, reception desks and coffee bar tables;
The two entrance columns and the four coffee bar columns are painted with DuPont ChromaLusion paint; and
All stones used for lobby floor and lift lobby walls have been sealed with DuPont StoneTech Professional sealer.
“The new facility supports DuPont employees and the company’s commitment to the 2015 Sustainability Goals,” said Stephen Protz, one of the designers and principal of Arc8X Design.
