Ceska Unigrafie a.s. in Prague: New Corona C12 from Müller Martini in Operation

With the new Corona line, Ceska Unigrafie was able to increase productivity by 30 percent.

Thursday 24. January 2008 - A new Corona C12 perfect binding line was recently put into operation at Ceska Unigrafie printing house in Prague. The three-shift business works around the clock.

The new line is equipped with an 18-station rotary gatherer and replaces two older binders. Ceska processes multiple products ranging from A3 to A5 formats, which it currently still exclusively produces at its own printing house. Hotmelt is the binding process used, whereby the new equipment is also equipped for polyurethane production (PUR).

What’s impressive about the new Corona is the short equip and changeover times, the high reliability and flexibility, and the accompanying superb net results. All the order data, such as format, book hang-out, glue temperature, and production speed are displayed on the central Commander Controls and can be called up at any moment if needed. Data stored from earlier orders can likewise quickly be read from memory or diskette.

With the new Corona line, Ceska Unigrafie was able to increase its capacity by 30 percent. The dynamic company doesn’t only hope to satisfy existing customers with its new capacities but also to win new orders as quickly as possible.
