FUJIFILM’s presence at drupa 2008: “DIGITAL POWER AT YOUR CONTROL”

Friday 18. January 2008 - FUJIFILM Corporation, a leading supplier of total solutions for the Graphic Arts industry, will have a major presence at the world’s largest printing industry exhibition, drupa 2008, to be held in Düsseldorf, Germany from 29th May 2008 to 11th June 2008.

Recognizing the importance of this event, FUJIFILM will be showing a wide range of new printing concepts, technologies, products and services under the banner; “DIGITAL POWER AT YOUR CONTROL “. Its display and demonstration space in the “Digital Printing Zone” in Hall 8b (totalling more than 1,800m2) marks a shift in emphasis for FUJIFILM, with the company demonstrating its capability in the digital arena alongside its benchmark pre-press solutions. In addition to the FUJIFILM stand, FUJIFILM Dimatix, which was acquired in June 2006, will have its own stand in Hall 8b C02. Here it will be demonstrating its innovations in industrial piezoelectric print heads and precision micropump technologies for non-impact printing. Both these stands will highlight FUJIFILM’s commitment to the development of leading edge print technologies.

At drupa 2008, FUJIFILM is highlighting its approach to the integration between analogue and digital printing, under the banner of “DIGITAL POWER AT YOUR CONTROL”. FUJIFILM is one of only a few vendors whose experience in offset printing and strengthening digital technology portfolio puts it in an ideal position to help commercial printers integrate new digital technologies into their businesses. Whether it is the very latest digital plates, digital workflow or digital press, FUJIFILM will be demonstrating how printers can maximize quality and business efficiency while minimizing the impact on the environment.
Under the banner of “DIGITAL POWER AT YOUR CONTROL”, FUJIFILM will be demonstrating how the acceleration of its strong collaboration with Xerox Corporation in the Graphic Arts field will bring added value to printers looking to add digital printing to their operations. By combining Xerox equipment with FUJIFILM workflow, colour management and support services, FUJIFILM will be offering a compelling package for printers looking for a digital partner.

FUJIFILM’s exhibition space at drupa 2008 will be divided into several different zones, each demonstrating how Fujifilm technologies can add value to different printing applications.
• Wide Format Inkjet zone – Introducing new FUJIFILM inkjet technology and a range of wide format inkjet solutions utilising FUJIFILM Sericol’s high performance ink.
• Workflow and Colour Management zone – FUJIFILM will be demonstrating how its hybrid workflow and colour management products, based on the latest JDF and PDF technologies, can help bring a higher level of control to complex print operations producing work for multiple output devices.
• Digital Printing zone – Introducing a suite of digital printing systems combining Xerox hardware with FUJIFILM workflow and colour management technologies.
• Offset Printing zone – Demonstrating how FUJIFILM’s benchmark range of High Definition CTP plates, including the processless thermal and chemistry free violet plates, can improve the quality, productivity and environmental performance of a print business.
