Heidelberg Becomes Sales Partner for Winkler+Dünnebier Palletizers
Thursday 17. January 2008 - With immediate effect, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) is to incorporate the universal palletizers of Winkler+Dünnebier AG (W+D, Neuwied) into its product portfolio, with the aim of selling the products exclusively to international manufacturers in the folding carton and printing industries. The palletizers will continue to be sold under the brand name "Winkler+Dünnebier". A contract to this effect was recently signed by both companies.
The palletizers will primarily be marketed for packaging customers around the world. As Frank Schmid, Head of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG in Mönchengladbach, explains: “These systems are furthering our commitment to the packaging printing industry, enabling us to offer our customers the full range of products for the packaging workflow”.
The universal palletizers can be customized to meet the specific requirements of individual customers. Depending on the customers needs, the systems are available in single- or multi-place versions in a compact design. Palletizers from W+D boast high flexibility, which enables additional functions such as the application of slipsheets, films or pallet proofs. Additional benefits include high process reliability, optimum product feed technology and a fully-automatic format changeover. “We are delighted to have found a strong partner like Heidelberg for our products in the packaging workflow – they complement each other perfectly,” explains Guido Kaufmann, Head of Sales Automatisation at W+D.
