Growth for PPB Ltd as it expands its Leeds facility

Wednesday 28. September 2016 - PPB Ltd is very confident about its future growth and expansion in the UK and so work has just begun to move into a specifically converted warehouse and office premises at Cross Green in the north east of Leeds. The new Leeds unit extends to 61,000 sq. ft. and has up to 4,000 pallet spaces to store PPB’s paper based products along with its new industrial plastics and Westland digital display portfolio. The final move is planned to be completed over the Christmas period when PPB’s in-house state of the art sheeting and re-rewinding equipment plus saw and guillotine will be relocated to the new site.

The new location is one mile from Junction 45 of the M1 and is close to PPB’s present Leeds address. This investment comes just a year after PPB invested in a specially designed new warehouse and office premises in London to fully service London and the Home Counties in which they took up occupation in September 2015.

There will continue to be very close stock management between London and Leeds with same day delivery available as well as an out of hour’s delivery service if required, with larger accounts often benefitting from 2-3 deliveries per day.

Richard Proctor, Managing Director for PPB said, “We are delighted to have found excellent new premises in Leeds as the next stage in our strategic growth plan. With good road links to the north and the M1 to the south it will provide us with a great base to better serve our UK customers and hold new stock especially large format sizes. PPB has offices located not only in Leeds but Leicester and London too.”

Richard stated: “It is all about maintaining and improving service levels to customers across the UK. We have implemented a new agreement with TNT to cover smaller deliveries which will benefit customers of our new Westland Digital Media products.”

Richard added “This investment is part of our ongoing strategy to provide the widest range of Plastic, Paper & Board, display materials and finishing services for the screen print and digital display markets. Further investment in machinery and stock now allows PPB to provide a high value service to sign makers, fabricators and wide format digital markets. Our new product offering also recognises the developing needs of customers. PPB stocks and converts industrial plastics, graphical products, and the newly launched Westland digital display media, Priplak and ProBOND (PPB’s aluminium composite range).
For our existing customers it will see them benefiting from new products, logistics and expertise. For new customers it will give them the reassurance of dealing with a company that has an extensive history with expertise in their industry that is here to grow and develop with them to offer new market opportunities. Our staff are looking forward to working in the new premises in what will be an excellent working environment” concluded Richard.
