C.P. Bourg to demonstrate for the first time ever its in-line perfect binding solution integrated with a Canon digital printing system and MOHR trimmer at drupa 2016
Thursday 26. May 2016 - drupa marks the world premiere of the in-line solution combining the Bourg Binder BB3202 / BGB3202 with the Océ VarioPrint 6320 Ultra+ digital printing system and MOHR BC-360 trimmer.
The configuration provides a complete solution for book production, delivering time and labor savings, and assured high-quality output.
At drupa 2016, C.P. Bourg will exhibit, for the first time ever, an integrated in-line perfect binding solution with a MOHR BC-360 trimmer for the Océ VarioPrint 6320 Ultra+ digital printing system. The solution will be demonstrated at the Canon booth in Hall 8A.
The combined solution provides a fully automated production workflow – from print to ready-to-ship books – giving printers a proven way to optimize production time and labor costs, while maximizing quality.
Robust printing
The Océ VarioPrint 6320 Ultra+ is a highly productive digital printing system. It is designed to satisfy diverse high-end production requirements. Its unique Gemini technology uses a single engine to print both sides of a page (up to 314 A4 images per minute) in a single pass. Reliable, intuitive, and built to last, the Océ VarioPrint 6320 Ultra+ delivers speed, uptime, quality and ease-of-use.
Fully automated and highly versatile in-line binding with Bourg solutions
The Bourg Binder BB3202 also called by SDD: “BGB3202” provides an intervention-free, in-line perfect bound book manufacturing process, from web to finish. Full integrity check for cover content matching is achieved with the barcode system. Unique variable knife creasing optimizes the making of books with multiple flaps or publications with inner flaps, such as medical prescription books.

Automated precision trimming
The MOHR BC-360 one-knife trimmer automatically cuts perfect-bound or saddle stitched-products. It enables A4 landscape books to be trimmed on all three sides. The robust cutting unit guarantees a precise cut that is gentle on the material. To increase performance, several stacked products can be cut simultaneously. Operated by touchscreen, it is easily integrated with a digital workflow and can be equipped with a barcode reader to automatically launch the cutting program, reducing setup time to practically zero.
Customized for use with C.P. Bourg solutions, the MOHR BC-360 has exceptionally fast motors and controls and a large gripper for trimming books up to 60 mm thick, with a maximum waste trim of up to 52 mm. It also features RF/QR barcode readers and full preparation for both in-line and off-line feeding.
