Firstan Limited, currently based in Bar Hill, near Cambridge, England has ordered three BOBST VISIONCUT diecutters and an EXPERTFOLD gluer, all of which will be installed at its new 80,000 square feet plant in nearby Godmanchester, Huntingdonshire. The new plant will go live in January 2010.

A request from the French speaking section of the Swiss Federation for blind and partially-sighted persons has led BOBST to realize a new type of application for its ACCUBRAILLE module. To celebrate the 200th anniversary of Louis Brailles birth, the Federation decided to produce paper placemats on which a message would be written in Braille. A discussion with the instructors at the BOBST training and demonstration “Competence Center” quickly showed that this job could be embossed using an ACCUBRAILLE module.
