Today at Interpack, Karlville announced commercial availability of the HP Indigo Pack Ready Laminator for HP Indigo digital presses. Karlville is licensed as a manufacturer and supplier of the HP-patented laminator technology that will help reduce complexity for producing digital flexible packaging.
Film reel changeovers without machine stops: thanks to the newly developed film storage facility from the Advanced series KHS now enables automatic changeovers from one reel to the next on its packaging machinery. It is thus no longer necessary to stop the machine or throttle the production speed. Inspiration for the system has been taken from the automatic reel changers used in the printing industry, for instance.
Pet food flexible packaging print samples, produced by Flint Group in cooperation with Soma engineering and Marvaco Oy, highlight an evolution in quality for flexo printing.
