Claus Bolza-Schünemann, CEO and president of Koenig & Bauer (KBA) and Drupa president 2016, announced a decidedly positive closing verdict on this years industrys leading trade show which closed its doors on 10 June after eleven days and some 260,000 visitors. “Print in all its diversity made a strong comeback at Drupa 2016 following structural shifts over the past eight years.

24 hour print event at CTP Printers Cape Town to introduce the latest LITHOMAN
CTP Printers Cape Town, one of the largest media and printing houses in South Africa, put on an event on May 4th and 5th 2016 to officially introduce the new LITHOMAN system, which produced four color, short runs of up to 5,000 copies, for 24 hours.

Mohn Media has ordered its third 96 page LITHOMAN from manroland web systems. The large printing house from Gütersloh is expanding its production capacity and strengthening its position as a leading European web printer with this high performance commercial printing machine. It will be the tenth 96 page LITHOMAN in the market.

Two Rapida 106 for J Thomson Colour PrintersLED-UV and perfecting for Glasgow
Glasgow-based J Thomson Colour Printers has switched press supplier to KBA in a two-press deal signed at Drupa. The contract is for a six-colour Rapida 106 plus coater with LED UV and a conventional ten-colour Rapida 106 perfector for 5/5 printing.
