At the end of November last year, DG press successfully delivered and installed a brand new Vision web offset press to the Portuguese security printing specialist, Imprensa Nacional – Casa da Moeda (INCM) in Lisbon.
The Supervisory Board and Management Board of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) have decided to reorganize and further streamline the management structure. The Management Board of the global market leader for innovative solutions and products in the printing industry will be reduced to two persons and will in future consist of CEO Rainer Hundsdörfer and CFO Marcus A. Wassenberg.
When Croatia joined the European Union in 2013, this heralded a new wave of economic development in the country, which has in turn contributed to sustainable growth. The national print industry has also benefitted, and has invested massively in the optimisation of its production processes over the past couple of years. This has been especially true for commercial printing company Tiskara Zelina. The centrepiece of an ambitious investment package is a new Rapida 105 PRO from Koenig & Bauer, with which the company has significantly improved its position on the Croatian market.
When VISOgraphic commissioned their first RMGT in the fall of 2017, the new 10 Series press had to absorb the output of three legacy Heidelberg presses. The pressure was squarely on VISOgraphics Team to rethink possible. We were amazed at how quickly we could move dozens of projects per day onto our new RMGT press, but after two years and 60 million impressions it was clear that our rapid growth would soon exceed our capacity, states John Dahlke, Chief Operating Officer.
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) recently announced its new Speedmaster drupa 2020 generation (see press release dated January 30, 2020). Market leading Elle Media Group have concluded the purchase the very first serial 2020 drupa specification XL106-5+L in the world from Heidelberg UK. This will replace a three-year-old machine which has produced an incredible 210 million impressions since its installation in March 2017.
New Commander CL for Druckhaus Delmenhorst. The floor-mounted Commander CL comprises three four-high towers, two KF 5 jaw folders and three Pastomat reelstands with a stripping station and Patras A paper-reel transport system. It is scheduled to come on stream in the fourth quarter of 2020. Our existing Commander CT is already very well utilised, and so we needed to expand our production capacities ready for a series of new jobs which we will be printing from December 2020 onwards.
BOBST hosted an Open House at its new Flexo Center of Excellence at Bobst Bielefeld on 13 February 2020, giving attendees the opportunity to experience the entire flexo process from start to finish.
