Heidelberg adopts action package to increase profitability

The Management Board of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) today adopted a wide-ranging action package, as announced last year, for a short-term reduction in structural costs and long-term improvements in the Companys profitability. Focus on the profitable core business and systematic streamlining of the cost base are geared to delivering a 100 million improvement in EBITDA, excluding the restructuring result.

Constantia Opens a New Plant in India With Three Comexi Machines

Comexi, a specialist in solutions for the printing and flexible packaging industry conversion, and Constantia Flexibles, a top three global producer of flexible packaging, have strengthened their relationship with the installation of three machines at the opening of the Constantia Ecoflex Ahmedabad in India. The new plant will be focused on the production of more sustainable and fully recyclable flexible packaging material. The machines, one Comexi F2 flexographic press and two Comexi S2 slitters with double turret, will enable the Austrian company to delve deeper into a greener future.

Koenig & Bauer receives Company to Watch award

At the Fifth Annual Digital Packaging Summit, which was held in Ponte Vedra BeachFlorida in November 2019, Koenig & Bauer was honoured with the coveted Company to Watch award. The three-day event is organised and coordinated by NAPCO Media and the magazine Packaging Impressions, and played host to 95 executives from the printing and packaging industries who were keen to find out about the latest developments in digital technologies for use in packaging printing. During the event, the attendees were also asked to vote for the company which they considered the Company to Watch.
