Koenig & Bauer publishes its Q1 report 2020

Whereas Koenig & Bauer was able to achieve a sound group order intake of 271.5m in the first quarter of 2020, the coronavirus pandemic, which has been spreading rapidly since January, has already had a considerable impact on revenue and earnings. With group revenue 25.3% lower than in the prior year at 172.4m, EBIT was -34.9m. Restrictions especially in travelling initially imposed in China and then gradually in many parts of the world are having a significant impact on order and project processing for the delivery, assembly and installation of the machines at our international customers.

Mazovian Printing House (MZGraf) Invests in a New Performance Series P7E Flexo Press from Mark Andy

Mazovian Printing House (MZGraf) has recently enhanced its pressroom equipment with a new Performance Series P7E flexo press from Mark Andy. Due to this acquisition, MZGraf has significantly increased its ability to produce multicolor, highly finished labels, a segment which is already an important part of its portfolio. In this case, Mark Andy is not only a vendor of the press, but also a strategic partner in the advanced technological project (partly financed from the EU grants), concerning an introduction of specialized shrink sleeve labels to the market. Performance Series P7E press is a crucial part of this project.

The subscription model of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) – under which customers no longer pay for the equipment they use, but simply for the number of sheets produced – has now become successfully established in the graphic arts industry. The company is therefore further expanding its data-based contract business and adding to its existing Heidelberg Subscription portfolio, placing greater emphasis on its partnership-based approach.

First Gallus label press for Elloflex in Brazil

The 8-colour flexo narrow web press is the first Gallus press for the label printer and converter.
