Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC)part of the Barry-Wehmiller Converting Solutions Platform and a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of print technologies announced the recent installation of the new Signature Series (380V-s) wide-web, high-speed offset press at J.J. Collins Printers in Charleston, Illinois.

Worzalla Installs New Speedmaster XL 106 to Satisfy 3-Part Expansion Plan, Achieves 30% Additional Capacity

Worzalla, an employee-owned printing company headquartered in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, is in the midst of a 3-part expansion plan consisting of adding 50,000 square feet to its print shop, hiring additional associates, and upgrading equipment – including a Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106-8P+L. Specializing in childrens books, cookbooks, and coffee-table books, Worzalla expects that the new XL 106 with UV will increase capabilities and capacity by 30% due to the new technology on the press such as Push to Stop.

Mark Andy Installs First Evolution Series in Europe

Colorado Etiquettes, the Rouen-based family business that has been supplying the French label industry since 1973, has installed the first Mark Andy Evolution flexo press in Europe. At a ceremony to commemorate the occasion, Tom Cavalco, Executive Vice President of Sales for the American manufacturer said: I am delighted to see that our latest flexo technology is applicable to and affordable by the smaller label converters who are looking to improve their productivity and extend their market opportunities. I congratulate Colorado on being the first label converter in France to benefit from what the Evolution has to offer.

Koenig & Bauer publishes its Q1 report 2020

Whereas Koenig & Bauer was able to achieve a sound group order intake of 271.5m in the first quarter of 2020, the coronavirus pandemic, which has been spreading rapidly since January, has already had a considerable impact on revenue and earnings. With group revenue 25.3% lower than in the prior year at 172.4m, EBIT was -34.9m. Restrictions especially in travelling initially imposed in China and then gradually in many parts of the world are having a significant impact on order and project processing for the delivery, assembly and installation of the machines at our international customers.
