Koenig & Bauer has drawn wholly positive conclusions at the end of its first entirely virtual fair. Under the banner Koenig & Bauer LIVE, the press manufacturer presented product innovations, digital applications and new service solutions for the print industry through a series of online events between 16th and 25th June.
As one of the fastest growing segments in the label market, shrink sleeves represent the third most important label format after pressure-sensitive and wet-glue labels. According to Smithers, the global market share of all types of sleeve labels will grow annually by 6.9% in the period 2019-24, making it the highest growth type among all label formats.

Dr Andreas Pleßke has been appointed as the management board spokesman for Koenig & Bauer AG with effect from 1 January 2021. The companys supervisory board appointed him to this position, in which he will remain until the end of 2025, at its meeting today. Dr Pleßke is currently the board member for Koenig & Bauers Special segment. The top board position has therefore once again been filled from within its own ranks.
In a festive ceremony at the production site Heidelberg Graphic Equipment Shanghai Ltd. (HGES), the packaging printing company Xian Jun Long was presented with a certificate recognizing the manufacture of the 9,999th printing unit in China.
