All the signs point to growth – there is no question about that in the mind of Henrik Jung, technical director at packaging producer Heinrich Buhl in NeunkirchenSiegerland. In fact, the company has developed constantly ever since its founding in the Buhl family home in 1961. For the past five years, we have seen almost two-figure turnover growth, Jung says. The workforce has also increased from 40 to 60 over the same period.

Titan-Polymer Purchases Two BOBST EXPERT K5s

The Titan-Polymer plant based in the Pskov region of Russia has purchased two EXPERT K5 2900 mm vacuum metallizers which will be installed at their BOPET production facility. Both machines incorporate the latest BOBST technologies namely high speed metallization and a large 700 mm diameter coating drum. One of the machines is equipped with the BOBST AlOx process for production of transparent high barrier films.

The Walstead Leykam Tiskarna d.o.o. printing company in Hoe-Maribor invests in new press automation of Q.I. Press Controls (QIPC). The Dutch specialist in measuring and control equipment for the printing industry supplies a new mRC-3D system for cut-off control and an IDS-3D system for colour control to modernise an existing press. At the print company itself, they speak of an anti-aging programme for the press.
