The Golden Pen of Freedom, the annual press freedom award of the World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA), has been awarded to publisher Jimmy Lai and the staff of the Apple Daily newsroom in Hong Kong.
The WAN-IFRAs Digital Media Awards Worldwide is the news media industrys only truly global digital media competition. The winners are selected from the regional Digital Media Awards handed in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, North America and South Asia.
