New Media and Gannett Announce Shareholder Approvals of Merger Agreement

New Media Investment Group Inc. (New Media) (NYSE: NEWM) and Gannett Co., Inc. (Gannett) (NYSE: GCI) jointly announced that at their respective special shareholder meetings held today, New Media and Gannett stockholders approved all of the proposals necessary to complete the previously announced acquisition of Gannett by New Media for a combination of cash and stock (the Merger).

Spain to host the World News Media Congress in 2020

The World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) invites the worlds press to attend the 72nd World News Media Congress, the 27th World Editors Forum and the 4th Women in News Summit to be held in Zaragoza, Spain from 17 to 19 June 2020. The annual meeting of the worlds press will be organised in partnership with Henneo, one of Spains leading media and technology companies, which celebrates its 125th anniversary in 2020. The Congress will take place at the Congreso de Zaragoza.
