Adding to the diverse capabilities of the KODAK NEXPRESS Fifth Imaging Unit Solutions with Print Genius, Kodak is introducing a new virtually invisible clear ink. KODAK NEXPRESS Red Fluorescing Dry Ink is clear to the naked eye, but becomes red fluorescing when illuminated with an appropriate ultraviolet (UV) light source. The ink can be used to print unobtrusive images and non-reproducible bar codes on various printed materials, which then can be read with specialized bar code readers.

At IPEX Screen, the print on demand and imaging specialist, launches two new versions of the Truepress Jet520, the world’s most successful continuous-feed colour inkjet printer. A monochrome version – the Truepress Jet520EX – is targeted at the on-demand direct mail and book printing markets, while the new Truepress Jet520 CP package combines high-resolution 720 x 720 dpi imaging with an entry-level price tag that will attract users with lower print volumes into the colour digital market.
