RAKO-Etiketten, one of Europe’s leading suppliers of self-adhesive labels, has installed its third SPGPrints RotaLEN laser engraver for digital imaging of nickel rotary screens. The investment will enable the German converter to meet the increased demand for screen printing jobs and maintain throughput levels averaging 55 cylinders per day.

REVO Digital Flexo goes live at Labelexpo: Extended color gamut plates produced and printed every two hours

The REVO partners will show the full REVO process live at Labelexpo. Every two hours a completely new set of seven extended color gamut plates will be produced, mounted on printing sleeves and printed live on BOBST M4 and M6 UV flexo presses. Each set of plates will print a different subject. The full REVO Digital Flexo program of technologies will be working in full operation on the REVO “island” within the BOBST booth, C10 in Hall 11.

EFI Showcases Jetrion One-pass LED Inkjet Label Press and New Packaging Productivity Suite at Labelexpo Europe

At Labelexpo Europe EFI (stand 9C40) is showing the first fully inline LED inkjet digital printing system available with laser cutting and finishing for lean label production. The production line features the 13-inch (330-mm) wide EFI Jetrion 4950LX LED narrow web press with a white ink module. To complement its high-productivity press, EFI is demonstrating a new Enterprise Packaging Productivity Suite custom configured to address the needs of three segments: label, flexible packaging and folding carton converting, as well as tighter integration with Esko’s Automation Engine.
