Kodak and Uteco install first UTECO Sapphire EVO Press

Japanese packaging printer Kinyosha Printing Co., Ltd., headquartered in Tokyo, has started production on their newly installed UTECO Sapphire EVO Press, following a successful on-site acceptance test. This high production digital inkjet press expands the companys packaging print capabilities with a cost-effective and highly flexible digital solution for high-speed, high-quality applications. The Sapphire EVO Press was developed by the Uteco Group in partnership with Kodak and is installed at the Kinyosha plant in guchi, a short distance from the Nagoya urban area.

Xeikon and Schaffner GF AG enter into distribution agreement

Adding value with digital print was one of the key reasons Swiss Schaffner GF AG chose to include the Xeikon digital printing systems in its portfolio. The graphics company is taking over sales of the entire Xeikon product line, including dry toner and inkjet solutions, for Switzerland and the nearby border regions of Liechtenstein and the Austrian federal state of Vorarlberg, commencing immediately.

Watch Domino surpass their Production Efficiency Challenge during Labelexpo 2019

Domino Digital Printing Solutions set themselves a tough production challenge during Labelexpo Europe 2019, held at Brussels Expo last September. This was conducted on a hybrid press including a Domino N610i digital ink jet integration module integrated within an AB Graphic Internationals Digicon 3 finishing line. Designed to set a completely new standard in label converting productivity, the challenge was to demonstrate in a single print, finish, slit, inspection and turret rewind process, the production of three different jobs with a total of ten SKU changes, a substrate change, three die cut changes, foil change and varnish changes with output all produced and boxed ready for shipment in less than 20 minutes.
