Announcing IDERA, Xeikon and Flint Group Bring Digital Print to the Corrugated Industry

Xeikon and Flint group today announced the launch of IDERA, a brand-new digital solutions platform for corrugated packaging converters. One of the cornerstones of this platform is a post-print, single-pass printing press. This press uses certified food-safe water-based inks on coated and uncoated corrugated sheets up to 1.6 m wide x 2.8 m long (5 3 wide x 92 long) at up to 150 linear mmin (492 ftmin).

Fujifilm and Tinmasters announce inkjet metal decoration partnership

Inkjet technology pioneer, Fujifilm, has agreed to an ongoing partnership with the UKs largest specialist metal packaging printing firm, Tinmasters. The agreement will see Tinmasters install a Fujifilm Acuity B1 UV inkjet printer at its premises in south Wales. The machine will be used for short run and customised commercial work and Fujifilm will retain access for customer demonstrations and ongoing development work.

Canon varioPRINT iX series: Many orders and new customers for new sheet-fed inkjet printing system

In April Canon presented the varioPRINT iX series – the Dutch customer Kampert-Nauta received its installation in mid-May. Printers from the new series will soon be installed at other locations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. They will reliably support growth in the commercial printing markets with a wide range of applications.
