Since installing a high-performance, pallet-fed Stahlfolder KH-82 combination folding system from Heidelberg earlier this year, Modern Litho (Jefferson City, MO) has enjoyed a folding department free of bottlenecks, together with substantially increased speeds in folding signature work. It is the second U.S. installation of Heidelberg’s ultra-fast, ultra-flexible signature-folding machine, as well as the second to be equipped with Heidelberg’s high-speed, PFX pallet feeder, recipient of a 2014 InterTechTM Technology Award from Printing Industries of America.

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) and Muller Martini have reached an agreement on the transfer of Heidelberg’s service business for saddle stitchers and perfect binders. Muller Martini will take over the worldwide service and spare parts business and the complete know-how of the machines produced in Leipzig by the end of 2014.
The new cutter POLAR N 92 Pro with stack lift and a unique WiMotion knock up block was put into operation in April at a start-up print shop called Duprint. First results show boost in productivity and also turnover increase.
