APT Closes Shenzhen Factory

Uni Core Holdings Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: UCHC), a Hong Kong-based holding company, regrettably informs its shareholders that it has filed for bankruptcy protection for its Shenzhen Factory of the APT Paper Group (“APT”), one of UCHC’s subsidiaries. The Shenzhen facility was negatively impacted by the downturn of the Chinese and worldwide economy coupled with a shortage of required cash flow to meet current production needs. APT Shenzhen has been struggling for a long time and management has decided to close it down.

Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc. Awarded Supplier of the Year by Composites Manufacturer MFG

Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc. (“Momentive Specialty Chemicals” or the “Company”) today announced that it was recently selected as a supplier of the year by Molded Fiber Glass Co., (MFG) a manufacturer that uses Momentive resins to produce wind turbine blades and other composite products. The selection is based on a scoring by the MFG purchasing team of technical support, quality, cost and delivery performance, coupled with inputs from senior management.

Up and Running: Clearwater Paper Adds New TAD Paper-Making Capabilities in Shelby, N.C., Upgrades in Las Vegas

Clearwater Paper Corporation (NYSE:CLW) today announced the completion of the next phase of the company’s newest facility at Shelby, N.C., culminating in the start-up of the company’s new through-air-dried (TAD) paper machine. The machine produced its first finished ton and converted product on December 13.
