Iggesund among the top 100 in the world at sustainable business

Holmen, the forest industry group to which Iggesund Paperboard belongs, is one of 100 world leaders in sustainability. The UN’s Global Compact 100 is a new global stock index which combines sustainable business and financial performance. It lists the top 100 companies in the world. Holmen is one of five Swedish companies, and the only forest industry company based in Sweden, to be included in the top 100 judged to be the best at creating good returns through sustainable business practices.

Technotrans: Preliminary figures for Q3 / 9M 2013

On the basis of provisional figures for the third quarter of 2013, the Board of Management of technotrans AG believes that it will no longer be possible to achieve the revenue and earnings targets for the 2013 financial year. The current position indicates that revenue for the 2013 financial year will reach a total of around 102 million (most recent forecast 105 million). Due to the lower revenue, the EBIT margin for the full year is likely to come in at around 3.5 percent (most recent target 6 percent).

Mitsubishi HiTec Paper invests in the future

Mitsubishi HiTec Paper is investing almost EUR 5 million in technical production equipment and the optimization of energy processes. At the same time personnel has been increased both in Sales and in Research & Development. Thereby the German manufacturer of coated specialty papers is continuing along its path of optimization of existing product lines, focus on innovative new products and the resulting closeness to its markets.

ALTANA Acquires Valspar’s Overprint Varnishes Business

The specialty chemicals group ALTANA takes over the European business for water-based and UV overprint varnishes of The Valspar (France) Corporation, S.A.S. In 2012, the business generated sales of less than 8 million, primarily in Europe. Within the ACTEGA division the business will be integrated into the Graphic Arts business line and will be managed by the company’s subsidiary ACTEGA Terra.
