Canon announces patent infringement suit in France
Canon today announced the filing of a patent infringement suit in France before the Paris First Instance Court against Zephyr SAS, whose trade name is Green Eco, and the Hong-Kong and Chinese companies that both use the name Aster Graphics Company Limited, for infringement of Canon’s European Patent (FR) number 2 087 407 by, inter alia, the importation, offer and sale of certain toner cartridges for use in various models of Hewlett-Packard laser beam printers. Canon is seeking injunctive relief and damages.

WACKER appoints new distributors for polymer and silicone products in Central and Eastern Europe
WACKER, the Munich-based chemical company, reorganizes its distribution network for silicone and polymer products in Central and Eastern Europe. As part of a regional optimization process, the already existing partners IMCD, Euro-Him-1, Hellermann, Radka, Revada and Variachem will be entrusted with the distribution of WACKER’s product range for silicones and polymers. Effective July 1, 2014, these partners will replace the previous distribution partner Brenntag CEE.
