Canon today announced the filing of a patent infringement suit in France before the Paris First Instance Court against Zephyr SAS, whose trade name is Green Eco, and the Hong-Kong and Chinese companies that both use the name Aster Graphics Company Limited, for infringement of Canon’s European Patent (FR) number 2 087 407 by, inter alia, the importation, offer and sale of certain toner cartridges for use in various models of Hewlett-Packard laser beam printers. Canon is seeking injunctive relief and damages.
