Tresu announce joint global research and training programme

TRESU DigitalSolutions, provider of flexo coating systems for digital printing lines, and Apex International, manufacturer of precision anilox coating and ink technology for packaging and label converting, have formed a global research, development and training partnership. Sharing expertise and facilities, the two companies aim to improve the performance of coating technology for sheet-fed digital printing applications, and to enhance customer service for users of TRESU’s iCoat Single and Twin sheet-fed coaters.

Kotkamills launches fully recyclable and repulpable consumer board products AEGLE and ISLA

Kotkamills is launching its new range of consumer board products: the folding boxboard range will be covered by the AEGLE brand and the food service range by the ISLA brand. The standard board ranges will be launched in July 2016 when Kotkamills’ new board machine starts. The option of water-based dispersion coated barriers will be added in the Autumn. The new machine will for the first time allow barrier coatings to be applied directly on the cartonboard machine as part of normal production.

KIIAN DIGITAL’S DIGISTAR HI-PRO SERIES AWARDED NIKE’S RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE LIST CERTIFICATION

JK Group has today announced that it is officially listed as a Nike-approved ink manufacturer through its Kiian Digital brand. The Digistar HI-PRO series from Kiian Digital has been awarded Nike’s Restricted Substance List (RSL) Certification following its compliance with the global sports brand’s rigorous regulations to meet or exceed worldwide legislative requirements, and is now licensed by Nike, Inc. for use in its substantial supply chain.
