Two coveted design awards for a sophisticated packaging concept – the role of the flexible packaging component

The X-Press-U packaging concept developed by UV specialist and system manufacturer IST Metz for its UV Days 2019 in-house exhibition has won two prestigious design awards – a Red Dot Award 2019 in the Packaging Design category and a German Design Award 2020 in the Packaging category. The concept combines high design quality with creative accomplishment by pairing a selection of coffee capsules with matching gourmet chocolates for three different types of espresso personas in highly sophisticated packaging.

ALTANA Completes Acquisition of Schmid Rhyner AG

The specialty chemicals group ALTANA has completed the acquisition of the overprint varnish specialist Schmid Rhyner AG, which was previously part of the Swiss Conzzeta Group. The acquisition was announced on December 20, 2019. Schmid Rhyner AG will be integrated into ALTANAs ACTEGA division, which will thus be strategically expanded.

Textile printing professionals tested the screen printing inks from FETEKS

For two days, Daniel Bartosch from the screen printing forge in Hamm, Westphalia, tested the entire range of inks and materials for textile screen printing from the ink and chemicals manufacturer FETEKS. The workshop in November 2019 was attended by, among others, the sales team of Lynx Germany, who are now selling the FETEKS range, and Tolga Oktay, Sales Manager of FETEKS.
