Larius once again for Cal 2008

Larius matt satin is Burgo Group’s premium coated paper chosen by Pirelli for 2008 edition of their Calendar. It is not a debut but a real confirmation for our papers – Larius in particular – which have been the protagonists in all the editions of this cult calendar, from 2001 to this present 35th edition set in Shangai (only exceptions 2003 and 2007).

DuPont Opens Performance Coatings Plant in China

A new DuPont Performance Coatings plant has begun manufacturing operations in the Jiading district of Shanghai. Plans for the new facility, which primarily will serve the Chinese automotive refinish market, were announced in the second quarter of 2006.

NOVA Chemicals announces plans for Ontario polyethylene asset modernization and expansion

NOVA Chemicals Corporation today announced plans for a series of polyethylene plant modernization and expansion projects in the Sarnia, Ontario, region. The projects will add a total of up to 250 million pounds per year of new polyethylene capacity in stages over the next two years.

Ainsworth Announces Production Curtailments at Three OSB Mills

Ainsworth Lumber Co. Ltd. (TSX:ANS) today announced that it will curtail operations at its oriented strand board (OSB) mill in Cook, Minnesota on January 16th due to reduced customer demand. Log deliveries will continue to be accepted during this closure. Ainsworth will be re-evaluating the closure at the end of January. The Cook mill has an annual production capacity of approximately 440 million square feet (3/8″ basis).
