Trelleborg, via its business area Trelleborg Engineered Systems, has completed the acquisition of MacDermid Offset Printing Blankets from the US group MacDermid Inc. The deal, worth around SEK 400 M, was signed on 2nd June 2008 and brings to the Trelleborg stable a major global manufacturer of printing blankets.

SunJet, the inkjet ink division of Sun Chemical, has announced at drupa the development of ink chemistry designed to support and deliver conductive films using nano-particles of silver. These are present on the Sun Chemical stand, B75, Hall 6, at drupa 2008, Düsseldorf, from May 29 to June 11.

Commercial production has started for a world-first eco-friendly UV ink, called SUNCURE Advantage, which uses 30% sustainable materials – a first for a UV curing ink.
