SCG-Dow Group Announces Formation of 50/50 Joint Venture to Build Specialty Elastomers Plant in Thailand
SCG-Dow Group, a joint venture of The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) and Siam Cement Group (SCG) announced today that it has established a 50/50 joint venture to begin constructing a specialty elastomers train located in the Asia Industrial Estate in Rayong Province, Thailand. The specialty elastomers train is expected to commence operations in 2011.

Sun Chemicals Platinum White Receives a PIA/GATF 2008 InterTech Technology Award
Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation announced that Sun Chemical was awarded a 2008 InterTech Technology Award for its Platinum White technology, a UV flexo white ink that improves the productivity of converters when printing narrow web labels by delivering increased line speeds, faster changeovers, improved color separations, and reduced costs.
