ECO2 Plastics, Inc., (BULLETIN BOARD: EOPI) , the eco-friendly recycling company that is changing the way plastics are recycled, today announced that it has entered into a long-term supply agreement with Peninsula Packaging, LLC.
Metso will reduce 25 persons at its manufacturing facility in Matamata, New Zealand. The turmoil in the global economy has led to changes in the market environment for the construction industry, creating a weaker demand for Metso’s products and services.
BYK has extended its portfolio with two new nano silica additives: NANOBYK- 3651 and NANOBYK- 3652. Together with the already well-established NANOBYK- 3650, these new additives mean BYK can offer its customers a complete product family covering systems from low to high polarity.
Co-determination negotiations at Imatra, Varkaus and Veitsiluoto mills have been concluded. The Group will provide support for the employees affected.
The business park at the UPM Kajaani mill premises will expand. UPM has signed new agreements with companies to be located in the premises. According to the letters of intent signed so far, the estimated number of people to be employed will be some 75-130 persons. Negotiations with several companies interested in Kajaani business park will continue.
UPM, in partnership with Metso and the University of Oulu, is launching a technology programme in Kajaani, Finland, to develop measuring and control solutions for the renewing chemical wood processing industry.
