UPM label papers on show at Labelexpo Asia

UPM presents its comprehensive range of label face and base papers in Shanghai at the Labelexpo Asia exhibition. UPM offers a variety of options for pressure sensitive and conventional labelling. The paper range includes glassine liners as well as supercalandered and clay coated kraft liners for label base. One side coated, woodfree coated and uncoated papers complete the range for label face.

Reducing complexity and increasing performance for its customers: Flint Group launches new universal flexo laminating white “PolarTek” in North America

Flint Group North America Packaging has released its newest universal flexo white laminating ink, PolarTek. This new product is the result of Flint Groups close work with its Flexible Packaging customer base. PolarTek is a white ink which can be used over many existing ink systems to deliver very high bond values with all laminating processes, as well as very low retained solvents. PolarTek can thus often replace several other white inks which may have been needed for the varied structures being printed.

Recycling competition winners receive iPods

Andrew Wilson, managing director of Unity Print and Publishing is the winner of the PaperCo Media Pro 09 on stand competition to guess the weight of a pallet of waste paper. His guess was 182kg, just three kilos short of the actual figure. He wins an iPod Nano with a second prize iPod Shuffle going to Joanna Haslam of Loop.

Konica Minolta starting mass production of the KM1024 series printheads

Konica Minolta Inkjet Technologies , Tokyo today announced production ramp-up of their KM1024 series printheads. The first introduction of the printhead was in DRUPA-2008.
