Creditors Decline to Support Fraser Papers Restructuring Plan

(All financial references are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise noted) Fraser Papers Inc. and its subsidiaries (“Fraser Papers” or the “Company”) announced today that a meeting of creditors (the “Meeting”) was held in Toronto. The Meeting was to vote on the consolidated plan of compromise or arrangement (the “Plan”) filed with the Ontario Court overseeing its restructuring proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (“CCAA”).

Verso Paper Corp. Announces Proposed $360 Million Debt Offering

Verso Paper Corp. (NYSE: VRS) announced today that its subsidiaries, Verso Paper Holdings LLC and Verso Paper Inc., are proposing to issue $360 million aggregate principal amount of their second priority senior secured notes due 2019 (the “Notes”) in a private offering that is exempt from the registration requirements of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the “Securities Act”). The Notes will be guaranteed by certain domestic subsidiaries of Verso.
