Metso to supply biomass boiler plant to Porvoon Energia in Finland

Metso will supply Porvoon Energia with a biomass boiler plant for combined heat and power production (CHP) in the township of Tolkkinen, Finland. The boiler plant will be delivered by the Metso-Wärtsilä joint venture MW Power.

Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc. will increase prices for Bisphenol A and Liquid, Solid and Solution Epoxy Resin grades by 200 Euro/MT, effective February 1, 2011 or as contract terms allow,. The pricing adjustment is driven by the continued cost increases of key raw materials.

BASF increases prices for polymer dispersions, powders, resins and additives

Effective February 1, 2010, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase prices in Europe, Africa and Western Asia for polymer dispersions as well as additives by 130 Euro per metric ton and acrylic resins and redispersible powders by 200 Euro per metric ton.
