Bartel Retools with Prepress, Press and Postpress Equipment from Heidelberg

Bartel Printing has vastly streamlined its workflow with the recent addition of a Heidelberg 2-color Printmaster GTO 52 perfector and computer-to-plate (CtP) workflow anchored by a Heidelberg Suprasetter A52 with Meta Dimension RIP. Completed in December 2008, the installations already have shown the company the multiple benefits of its transition from a film-based to an all-digital workflow.

Screen has announced a version of its B1 PlateRite 8800 platesetter which has the facility to turn off the registration punch. This feature has been specifically developed for plate production for web presses, where punch holes are not required.
