3M CFO PATRICK D. CAMPBELL ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT; DAVID W. MELINE NAMED CFO

3M today named David W. Meline senior vice president, Finance, and chief financial officer, effective April 1, 2011. Meline, 53, succeeds Patrick D. Campbell, 58, who announced that he will retire May 1, 2011.

MAKINO JAPAN FACILITIES UNDAMAGED

Makino world headquarters in Tokyo, Japan have indicated that all its employees have been accounted for and its facilities remain undamaged. While power grids and transportation systems have been disrupted, Makino is continuing to work diligently on current operations and deliveries. The Port of Yokohama where Makino Japan exports product remains in good condition.
