Ringier Axel Springer Czech Republic: Pavel Šafr will lead Blesk

Effective May 1st 2011, Pavel Šafr (43) becomes editor-in-chief of the leading Czech tabloid Blesk. He succeeds Vladimír Mužík (34) who has decided to resign at his own request after ten years as editor-in-chief on various positions at Ringer Axel Springer in Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Danaher Reports Record First Quarter 2011 Results

Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR) announced today that net earnings from continuing operations for the quarter ended April 1, 2011 were $420.2 million, or $0.61 per share on a diluted basis, a 42% increase as compared to diluted net earnings from continuing operations per share for the first quarter 2010, and a 33% increase as compared to adjusted diluted net earnings from continuing operations per share for the first quarter 2010.
