Once again bringing the industry together at a time when the opportunity to connect face-to-face is extremely limited, the summit saw attendance by over 3,908 people from over 80 countries, and the international profile of the visitor base grew with a larger attendance from outside UK and US this time.
The digital platform drupa preview was opened on 27 October. Over 1.900 interested visitors took part in panel discussions and live web sessions as spectators, received valuable input on current issues via video keynote speeches and virtually connected with exhibitors and industry players.
This year, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Verbraucherstudien mbH conducted a panel-based customer survey on the subject of online printing plants. A total of eight sub-categories were surveyed, including product diversity, user-friendliness, ordering process, print quality, delivery service, price-performance ratio, customer service and customer confidence. The Münster-based online printing company viaprinto took first place in the overall ranking.
On October 16th 2020, the 8th All in Print China successfully concluded at Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). With the support from exhibitors, visitors, associations, media partners and all other industry colleagues, All in Print China 2020 presented the latest innovations and gave strong confidence to the international printing industry.
On 27 October the new digital platform drupa preview will be opened at 10 a.m. A panel discussion with Project Director Print Technologies Sabine Geldermann, Managing Director of the VDMAs Printing and Paper Technology Association Dr Markus Heering and Messe Düsseldorfs Executive Director Digital Dr Christian Plenge will present the new platform and address questions about the current situation in the industry. Afterwards, companies and speakers will present top topics in live web sessions.
International Print Day 2020 (#IPD20) prepares for its seventh year, and print will once again trend the planet through 24 hours of social media sharing. The celebration gets underway at 6PM ET in the United States on October 20th (11AM NZT in New Zealand 9AM AET in Australia on Oct 21st) and finishes 24 hours later in the United States at 6PM ET on October 21st.
Following the success of the inaugural FuturePrint Virtual Summit in June, the second edition of the forward-thinking event will take place over five days from the 12-16 October. The first day of the event will be dedicated to Young Guns in Print, celebrating prints young leaders, highlighting entrepreneurs and innovation, and exploring how to attract, retain, and empower young talent in print.
