Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) completed its cash acquisition of Veenman B.V. for $68 million (43M). The acquisition pairs Xerox’s portfolio of document products and services with Veenman’s distribution capacity in the Dutch small- and medium-sized business (SMB) market. Xerox will more than double its sales force and gain access to more than 4,000 SMB customers in the Netherlands.
Chief Executive magazine today announced that Anne Mulcahy, Chairman and CEO, Xerox Corporation, has been selected by her peers as “CEO of the Year.” She joins an impressive group of past winners including: Bob Ulrich, Target, John Chambers, Cisco Inc., and Bill Gates, Microsoft Corp. Mulcahy will be presented with the CEO of the Year award at a dinner at the New York Stock Exchange on July 17, 2008.
Nordson Corporation (NASDAQ:NDSN) today announced that it acquired the remaining stake in its joint venture, Nordson Sang San Ltd. of Gwang-Ju City, Korea. Nordson held a 49 percent stake in the company prior to acquiring the remaining interest from its joint venture partner. Revenue of the business and terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
