Amazon.com to Acquire AbeBooks
Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN), today announced that, subject to closing conditions, it has reached an agreement to acquire AbeBooks. AbeBooks is an online marketplace for books, with over 110 million primarily used, rare and out-of-print books listed for sale by thousands of independent booksellers from around the world.

Krones ups its sales by 14.3 % in the years first half
Krones AG, the worlds market leader for beverage filling and packaging technology, smoothly progressed its vigorous growth during the first half of 2008. Sales were up by 14.3 % on the preceding years figure, from 1,053.9 to 1,204.9 million euros. Order bookings rose by 12.0 % to reach 1,242.5 million euros.
