RockTenn has signed an agreement to acquire A.G. Industries, Inc. (AGI In-Store), a manufacturer of point-of-purchase displays and fixtures to the consumer products and retail industries. AGI In-Store is owned by American Greetings Corporation and employs approximately 300 employees in Forest City, N.C. The transaction is expected to close later this quarter.
R. R. Donnelley & Sons Company (Nasdaq:RRD) announced today that they have been awarded a five year, multi-service contract by Allianz Insurance to provide onsite creative design services along with print management and transactional print services. The first phase of services, creative and print management, will be managed from RR Donnelley’s Huntingdon and Tewksbury locations in the U.K.
The PGSF Board of Directors approved $410,000 to be awarded for scholarships in the 2014-2015 academic years. “We are excited to recognize the future leaders of the industry and help them achieve their dreams and goals,” said Bernie Eckert, PGSF administrator. Scholarships were awarded to students attending 78 colleges, technical schools, and universities throughout the United States. Nine Gutenberg level scholarships of $5,000 or more were awarded. The average scholarship award was $2,000.

TriMas Corporation (NASDAQ: TRS) – a diversified global manufacturer of engineered and applied products – announced today the transition of leadership within its Packaging business segment. Lynn Brooks, president of Rieke Packaging Systems, announced he will retire as president. David Pritchett, currently executive vice president at Rieke, will succeed Brooks as president of Rieke Packaging Systems, effective August 15, 2014. Brooks will remain with the company in an advisory role. Pritchett will report directly to TriMas President and Chief Executive Officer David Wathen.
