Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. (NYSE:BUD) today reported that third quarter 2008 net sales increased 6.5 percent and diluted earnings per share (excluding one-time items in both 2008 and 2007) increased 10.5 percent (1). For the nine months of 2008, net sales increased 5.7 percent and diluted earnings per share (excluding the one-time items) improved 8.9 percent (1).
