Marbach Group sends a clear signal for climate protection

Wednesday 02. July 2025 - The globally operating Marbach Group, manufacturer of die-cutting and thermoforming tools, is committed to sustainable and future-oriented action. As part of its comprehensive sustainability strategy, the group has joined the global Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Marbach is thus committing itself to pursuing concrete and science-based climate targets that are aligned with the 1.5-degree target of the Paris Climate Agreement.
“Sustainability is not just a claim for us, but a commitment,” explains Peter Marbach, Managing Director at Marbach. “Our responsibility goes beyond economic success. We want to make the right decisions for tomorrow today – and do so in a transparent and verifiable manner.”
As part of the SBTi commitment, the Marbach Group has set itself the goal of significantly reducing its emissions by 2030:
• Reduction of direct (Scope 1) and energy-related (Scope 2) emissions by 42%,
• Reduction of indirect emissions along the value chain (Scope 3) by 25%.
These ambitious goals underscore the company’s long-term commitment to environmental and climate protection. Marbach already relies on energy-efficient technologies, state-of- the-art machines, conscious use of materials, and close cooperation with sustainably oriented partner companies along the entire value chain.
For the Marbach Group, sustainability means holistically considering ecological, economic, and social goals and combining them responsibly. Joining the SBTi is a clear commitment to climate protection.
