New deadline 1462024 – German Packaging Award extends submission phase
Monday 10. June 2024 - The German Packaging Institute e. V. (dvi) is extending the deadline for submissions to the German Packaging Award 2024. Companies, institutions and individuals from Germany and abroad can now register their products and prototypes across all materials until 14 June.
There are ten innovation categories in all to choose from at Europe’s largest showcase for packaging.
The dvi is extending the deadline in response to a large number of enquiries it has recently received. “We are delighted with the keen interest and are acutely aware of the scheduling difficulties caused by high workloads within companies. On top of this, we were only able to open our new submission portal in mid-April, and the numerous public holidays in May have brought about extra bottlenecks. We are therefore happy to agree to these requests and are extending the submission phase until 14 June 2024,” says Oliver Berndt, Head of Events and Marketing at the dvi.
Powerful arguments for sales and marketing
“Winning the Packaging Award provides proof of companies’ outstanding innovative strength and gives them compelling evidence in their communication with customers, consumers, partners, future employees and even their own team,” says Berndt, highlighting the benefits of taking part. You can register and submit using an online form which can be found on the dvi website. The dvi also gives detailed information about the ten categories, their specific assessment criteria and the people who make up the independent expert jury.
Gold Award, WorldStar and award ceremony
In addition to the Packaging Award, the jury also has the discretion to distinguish innovations with the particularly exclusive Gold Award. “The Gold Award honours innovations that stand out even from the illustrious circle of Packaging Award winners,” says Oliver Berndt. The dvi division manager also points out that winners of a German Packaging Award automatically qualify to take part in the WorldStar Award of the World Packaging Organisation (WPO). The award ceremony and announcement of the Gold Award winners will be held on 24 September 2024 on the first day of the FACHPACK trade fair in Nuremberg. “In conjunction with our premium partners IGEPA group and FACHPACK as well as our partner for the machine category, Mitsubishi Electric, we cordially invite all industry members to join us,” says Berndt, looking ahead.
